The ASTMA is excited to welcome a new staff member, with Amy Dingle (pictured) joining the team in late April as an Agronomist.
Amy brings with her extensive experience, passion, and technical expertise that will greatly benefit our members and the wider sports turf industry. Amy comes to the Association from SportENG, where she built a strong reputation for her work in sports field design, construction consultation, and surface management.
During her time at SportENG, Amy worked closely with a range of stakeholders, including professional sporting organisations, local government authorities, and community sports groups, providing expert advice and innovative solutions to optimise the performance and sustainability of sports surfaces across Australia.
With a Bachelor of Agriculture from the University of Melbourne, Amy’s professional journey has been defined by her commitment to enhancing turf quality, improving maintenance practices, and supporting the long-term sustainability of sports facilities. Her practical, research-driven approach and deep understanding of turfgrass science will strengthen ASTMA’s technical support services and contribute significantly to our expanding suite of member resources, education, and research programs.
In her new role at ASTMA, Amy will work with Bruce and Tim to deliver agronomic initiatives, providing technical advice to members, contributing to education and professional development programs, supporting national research activities, and assisting with industry advocacy projects. She will also play a key role in developing new resources, case studies, and technical bulletins designed to assist Sports Turf Managers in achieving best practice outcomes at their facilities.
Amy will be working full-time, and can be contacted by email at amy@astma.com.au or at the office on (03) 9548 8600. The ASTMA welcomes Amy and looks forward to her ongoing contributions.
