Certificate III in Sports Turf Management (AHC31324)

 

Diploma of Sports Turf Management (AHC51024)

Intake Dates

Participants may commence the Certificate III in Sports Turf Management (AHC31324)    
Course at any time throughout the year, following the completion of an Apprenticeship Training Contract with the participants employer.

Commencement Dates

For all Sports Turf Management Apprentices enrolled with ASTMA Education, a Course Orientation information session will occur with an ASTMA Trainer following enrolment confirmation

Students can enrol and commence at any time, as this course runs in conjunction with workplace employment.

Duration

Apprenticeship: 3 Years

Learning Schedule

Training is conducted in a blended format, weekly (35 weeks per year) over three years. Students will undertake weekly online tutorial sessions and meet four times a year (Monday-Thursday) at some of the countries finest sporting venues, as a group to network and complete practical skills training and assessment in block sessions.

Duration

2 Years

Learning Schedule

This qualification is delivered virtually (online) over two years, to offer greater flexibility and accessibility for turf professionals. 


Face to Face tutorials will be conducted weekly, one unit at a time, covering curriculum criteria and assessment requirement.  Assessments will be short answer written questions covering the knowledge evidence of the unit and portfolio of evidence consisting of work-based reports and student presentations for each unit. You will be provided with all resources on commencement of each unit.
     

Chemical User / Refresher Training (AHCSS00074)

    

Intake Dates

The 1-day Chemical User / Refresher Training is hosted nationally at a range of venues

  • Online: Dates TBC

Students can complete an online Update/Refresher Course via the ASTMA's Learning Portal 

Commencement Dates

Students can enrol and commence at any time in a schedule Online sesiosn or at a session in their State.

Learning Schedule

Training is conducted in either a Face to Face or Online format, covering the following Units:

  • AHCCHM307 Prepare and apply chemicals to control pest, weeds and diseases
  • AHCCHM304 Transport and store chemicals
