Formal Qualifications - ASTMA RTO# 46011

 

The Australian Sports Turf Managers Association (ASTMA), the leading professional Association for turf management in Australia, is thrilled to announce that it has attained Registered Training Organisation (RTO) status. 

With this achievement, ASTMA will now provide training and deliver qualifications for AHC31319 Certificate III in Sports Turf Management and AHC51019 Diploma of Sports Turf Management, in addition to Chemical User / Refresher Training.

   

As a newly designated RTO (RTO #46011), ASTMA is uniquely positioned to meet the growing demand for qualified sports turf managers across Australia.

The association's commitment to excellence and professionalism will now extend to the development of skilled professionals through comprehensive training programs aligned with industry standards.

The (AHC31319) Certificate III in Sports Turf Management is designed to equip individuals with the fundamental skills and knowledge required to maintain and manage sports turf surfaces.

The qualification covers a range of essential topics, including turf establishment and maintenance, irrigation systems, pest and disease control, and occupational health and safety.

Initially, the Association will be offering the Certificate III will be offered in South Australia to support the turf management industry who have experienced challenges over the past few years in obtaining Sports turf Management qualifications.

​​​For those seeking a more advanced level of expertise, ASTMA will offer the (AHC51019) Diploma of Sports Turf Management. This comprehensive program will enable participants to develop advanced skills in turf management, business operations, strategic planning, staff management, and facility development. 

Offered as a complete virtual program (100% Online) the Diploma of Sports Turf Management program is designed to support those looking to further their education from regional and remote areas, or locations where the Diploma is currently not available. 

ASTMA's newly established RTO status ensures that the training programs align with the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) and comply with the standards set by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA). These qualifications will provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their careers, meet industry requirements, and contribute to the overall growth and success of the sports turf management industry.
