The Golf Course Superintendents Association of Queensland (GCSAQ) hosted its first official event of 2025 at Indooroopilly Golf Club last Tuesday. The Renovation Equipment Demonstration Day featured a range of equipment from a number of companies, including Toro, Jacobsen, RDO Equipment, Ventrac, Redexim, Greenway Turf Solutions, Maredo, Nuturf, Fieldquip and Avant Equipment.

The GCSAQ wishes to thank host superintendent Ben Grylewicz and Indooroopilly for hosting the event and all sponsors who showcased their equipment. Most pleasing, however, was the turnout, with nearly 90 GCSAQ and STA Queensland members and trade representatives attending the day. CLICK HERE for more photos from the day on the GCSAQ Facebook page.

The next GCSAQ event will be an education meeting to be held on Thursday 27 March at The Gabba. Speakers confirmed to date include: Peter Ambrose-Pearce (Syngenta) who will talk about strategies to control fire ants; Dean Mosch (Syngenta) who will discuss their new miticide; and Steve Buttigieg (TAFE Queensland) talking about apprenticeships, the new training package and three-way training model for apprentices. Gabba head curator Dave Sandurski will then provide a tour of the facility.
