  • Ideal for those seeking initial accreditation in Chemical Application.

Refresher Training

  • Re-accreditation is conducted on Thursday 11th September only
  • For individuals who have previously completed AQF Level 3 Chemical Application training within the last five (5) years and are due for re-accreditation. 

 

  • A copy of a previously attained licence or statement of attainment in the program will need to be provided for the following competencies on enrolment:
    •     AHCCHM304 Transport and Store Chemicals and
    •     AHCCHM307 Prepare and Apply Chemicals to Control Pest, Weeds and Diseases

Topics covered include:

Training will cover the following nationally recognised units:
AHCCHM307 – Prepare and apply chemicals to control pests, weeds and diseases
AHCCHM304 – Transport and store chemicals

Students will be provided with:

  • Updates on new legislation pertaining to the use of chemicals in South Australia
  • A label and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) exercise
  • A calibration exercise for both knapsack and boomspray applicators
  • Guidance on completing chemical use requirements
  • Read, interpret and understand Chemical product labels
  • PPE, Personal and environmental safety
  • Risk assessment, Compliance and Record keeping

In order to comply with Chemical User license requirements, users are encouraged to undertake refresher (reaccreditation) training every five years.
