The regional and metropolitan Course of the Year awards recognise excellence in golf course design, layout, shot making, course improvements during the year and overall championship condition. The regional and metropolitan Facility of the Year awards recognise a facility which has shown a high standard of performance in areas such as membership retention and growth, financial performance, clubhouse operations, golf course operations, contribution to the community and participation/number of rounds.
The awards night, which will be attended by around 500 industry representatives, will be the culmination of a huge three days for the GCSAWA. It starts on Wednesday (26 March) when the broader WA turf industry gathers at Royal Perth Golf Club for the WA TAFE Awards Night where the latest sports turf management graduates will be congratulated and leading students recognised. That is followed the next day by the GCSAWA Trade Golf Day to be hosted at Meadow Springs Golf Club south of Perth. The ASTMA congratulates all award finalists and wishes them good luck ahead of the winners being announced next Friday.
