NRL FIXTURES FOR 2026 RELEASED WITH INTERNATIONAL, DOMESTIC AND REGIONAL STADIUMS TO HOST MATCHES

Tuesday 18, Nov 2025

More than 30 stadiums across Australia, New Zealand and the USA will host National Rugby League (NRL) men’s and women's matches in 2026 with the league announcing its season fixture for next year, including the fixtures for the annual State of Origin series.

The bright lights of Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium in the USA will kick-off the men's season with a double-header on Saturday, March 1 (Australian time) as the Bulldogs face the Dragons, and the Knights take on the Cowboys.

Matches in Australia won’t commence until the following week with AAMI Park hosting the Melbourne Storm v Parramatta Eels clash on Thursday, March 5, while Suncorp Stadium (pictured above) hosts a rematch of the 2025 preliminary final between reigning premiers Brisbane and Penrith.

Suncorp Stadium will host the matches of any venue in 2026 with 24 events, including the staging of the annual Magic Round where all eight matches across one weekend will be played from from May 14-17.

Major NRL stadiums such as CommBank Stadium, Accor Stadium (pictured far right), Allianz Stadium and 4 Pines Park are prominent parts of the season fixture, with traditional suburban grounds to each get their fair share of games.

Due to the ongoing development of Belmore Sports with a $52 million Centre of Excellence currently being built, Canterbury Bulldogs won’t play any matches at the stadium in 2026.

Regional stadiums will also get plenty of opportunities to showcase their facilities in 2026, with matches at Carrington Park (Bathurst) and Glen Willow Stadium (Mudgee) to draw in plenty of local support.

The NRL will head west in 2026 with Perth to host three matches, including the Optus Stadium (pictured right) double-header in round 6 and a match at HBF Park in round 23. The Dolphins will host a game at TIO Stadium in Darwin in round 7.

There is plenty for New Zealand fans to look forward to with Go Media Stadium in Auckland hosting the bulk of matches, but Sky Stadium in Wellington on Anzac Day and a match at the brand-new One NZ Stadium in Christchurch are set to be significant events.

One NZ Stadium is scheduled to officially open in 2026, with construction beginning in 2022 to a capacity of 30,000. The new stadium is going to host Rugby Union, Rugby League and Football, as well as special events and features a roof and rectangular shape. The Warriors will host the Cowboys in a historic clash at the new stadium on Sunday June 21.

The 2026 Men State of Origin series is also locked in and will open at Accor Stadium in Sydney on Wednesday, June 3, before heading to the MCG for Game II on Wednesday, June 17, marking the first Origin match at the 100,000-capacity stadium since 2018. The decider will take place at Suncorp Stadium on Wednesday, July 8.

The Women’s State of Origin Series kick off on Thursday, April 30 at the home of the defending champion NSW Blues at McDonald Jones Stadium in Newcastle. The Maroons will then host back-to-back home fixtures, including a blockbuster Suncorp Stadium clash and a potential series decider at Cbus Super Stadium on the Gold Coast on May 28.

The NRL Women's fixture was also released with 30 double-header fixtures and the regional NRLW Magic Round showcase in Wagga Wagga's Geohex Park locked in. The Sharks and Knights will launch the season on July 2.
