VGCSA HOLDS 98TH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AT PRESTIGIOUS KINGSTON HEATH

The Victorian Golf Course Superintendent Association (VGCSA) held its 98th Annual General Meeting at the Kingston Heath Golf Club (pictured) on April 30.  


The VGCSA confirmed two changes at committee level with Brenton Clarke (Settlers Run) and Nick Launer (Keysborough) new members, with Shane Greenhill (Sorrento) and Clint Raven (Yarra Yarra) ending their respective terms. Adam Lamb will remain as the VGSCA president for another term.

President – Adam Lamb 
Vice President – Jeff Powell
Secretary – Tay Wilson 
Treasurer – Nicholas Douglas
Committee – Brenton Clarke, Nick Launer, Geraldine O’Callaghan and Keegan Powell  


In major award winners announced during the presentations, Michael Licht from Toro Australia won the 2025 VGCSA Trade Recognition Award, Leigh Yanner from The National Golf Club won the 2025 VGCSA Superintendent Recognition Award and Zachary Amer from Port Fairy Golf Links won the VGCSA Golf Turf Apprentice of the Year. Mark Prosser was also awarded life membership of the VGCSA.


As golfers played off in the VGCSA Golf Championships prior to presentations, Kingston Heath Golf Club superintendent Hayden Mead also conducted an informative course tour of the grounds and spoke at length about the rich history and turf works being done at the famous course.
